Chargemap and Allego partner to enhance EV charging experience across Europe
17 May 2023

With the aim of advancing the adoption of electric vehicles by providing seamless and reliable charging experiences, Chargemap and Allego have announced a partnership agreement.

As part of the collaboration, Chargemap, a platform that offers location and payment services for charging stations, will update its application with real-time information on Allego’s charge points, ensuring users have access to the most up-to-date information. The partnership will enable EV drivers to charge with ease at any public Allego charging station, check availability in real-time, and integrate them into the Chargemap route planner.

As the demand for EV charging continues to grow, this partnership between Chargemap and Allego offers a solution to ensure EV drivers have access to a network of charging stations they can rely on. By directly connecting with Allego’s charging infrastructure, both companies aim to provide EV drivers with a seamless and hassle-free charging experience. Additionally, through this partnership, both companies will work to optimize their value propositions for location owners/managers and EV drivers.

“We’re excited to partner with Chargemap to make our charging stations more accessible for their subscribers. By working together, we’ll continue to develop innovative solutions that make electric mobility more attractive for existing and potential new locations and support an EV-driver-centric charging experience,” says Mathieu Bonnet, CEO at Allego.

Allego is a leader in charging infrastructure solutions, with over 34,000 public charge points operational across the pan-European market. The company defines interoperability as the ability of all EV drivers to access, charge, and pay at any public charge point, and its network is compatible with more than 280 MSPs. Bonnet continues: “Allego welcomes the Chargemap subscribers to visit our wide range of charging locations across Europe, and we strongly believe in the added value of Chargemap services, enriching the charging experience for EV drivers in numerous ways.”

Yoann Nussbaumer, CEO of Chargemap, adds, “Our goal is to enhance the charging experience for EV drivers across Europe. By directly connecting with Allego, we can offer more reliable and up-to-date information on their charging stations to our users. This partnership also allows us to continue expanding the coverage of charging points in the Chargemap application, which currently boasts over 800 different networks and more than 500,000 charging points listed in Europe.”
